Overview

The Sigma 24-105mm F/4 DG OS HSM Lens is a wide-angle to medium telephoto zoom lens with a constant f/4 aperture. It is designed for both full frame and crop sensor Nikon DSLR cameras.

The lens integrates three aspherical elements into its construction as well as two SLD and two FLD glass elements to help minimize aberration, field curvature, and distortions throughout the zoom range as well as provide greater image sharpness while avoiding reduced peripheral brightness. Super Multi-Layer Coating has also been applied to lens elements to reduce surface reflections, lens flare, and ghosting to produce images with higher contrast and color fidelity.

The barrel of the lens is constructed from a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material that offers minimal thermal shrinkage and exceptional hardness. For autofocus, a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) delivers high speed focus with minimal noise, making it well suited for continuous shooting and video recording.

Penelope ★★★★★

The zoom ring has that buttery Art-line dampening, so pulling focus feels professional even on my older body. I’ve used it for two weddings and the sharpness at 105mm is honestly stunning, and the OS lets me handhold in dim church light without a second thought.

Matthew ★★★★★

The constant f/4 aperture is exactly what I needed for consistent exposure while shooting events, and the optical stabilization makes handheld shots at 105mm incredibly sharp. Focus is quick and silent too, which is a huge plus.

Grace I. ★★★★★

The zoom ring tension is just right for me—smooth but with enough resistance to keep it from drifting when I’m shooting handheld. On my D750, the OS system worked flawlessly for an evening street shoot, letting me drop to 1/15th without a blurry frame.
