Overview

The Sigma 24-105mm F/4 DG OS HSM Lens is a wide-angle to medium telephoto zoom lens with a constant f/4 aperture. It is designed for both full frame and crop sensor Canon DSLR cameras.

The lens integrates three aspherical elements into its construction as well as two SLD and two FLD glass elements to help minimize aberration, field curvature, and distortions throughout the zoom range as well as provide greater image sharpness while avoiding reduced peripheral brightness. Super Multi-Layer Coating has also been applied to lens elements to reduce surface reflections, lens flare, and ghosting to produce images with higher contrast and color fidelity.

The barrel of the lens is constructed from a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material that offers minimal thermal shrinkage and exceptional hardness. For autofocus, a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) delivers high speed focus with minimal noise, making it well suited for continuous shooting and video recording.

Owen S. ★★★★★

Switching from a kit lens to this one made a huge difference in low-light settings — the constant f/4 aperture kept exposure consistent while zooming. The optical stabilization really helped me get sharp handheld shots indoors.

Hazel ★★★★★

I’ve been using this lens for event work, and the optical stabilization makes handheld shots at 1/15s actually usable. The zoom ring is smooth and well-damped, which helps when I’m switching focal lengths quickly during a ceremony.

Julian V. ★★★★★

The constant f/4 aperture held up beautifully during a dimly lit indoor shoot, and the OS kept handheld shots crisp at 1/60th. I've used it on both my full frame and crop body without a hitch—solid build, smooth zoom ring, and it balances nicely on the camera.
